Syracuse is located in Central New York. It is ranked number one almost every year for being the snowiest city in the county! But don't let that scare you, there are a lot of fun and unique experiences you can have in Syracuse despite the snowy winters. Syracuse has four beautiful and distict seasons. That is one of the many great things about the city. You can find things to do no matter what time of year you visit. Visiting Syracuse is an experience like none other. If you are going to be in the area, you should definately check out some of the activities highlighted in this lens.
Syracuse Basketball - A Top Ranking Basketball Team
While you visit Syracuse, why not go see a Syracuse Basketball game? This team is a consistantly high ranking team. Most of the time they are within the top five spots in the country. The team is coached by Jim Boeheim who has been put into the College Basketball Hall of Fame, and has won many awards and broken several records in his coaching career. Visiting Syracuse University is spectacular. The old buildings are beautifully constructed and the grounds are very well kept. The men's basketball games are played in the Syracuse Carrier Dome. It's a pretty spectacular sight to see. You'll want to make sure you wear your orange and blue!

Destiny USA
Why Not Do Some Shopping?
Destiny USA is the sixth largest shopping and entertainment center in the country. It was originally build under the name Carousel Center in 1990, but after a major addition was build, it was renamed Destiny USA in 2012. The building has six floors of shopping, entertainment, office, and banquet space. Destiny USA has several anchor stores including JCPenney, Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Best Buy, The Bon-Ton, and Dick's Sporting Goods. The entire fourth floor of the center is dedicated to Regal Cinemas. The newest section of the mall is called "The Canyon" It has entertainments centers including bowling, miniature golf, and even a Wonder Works. There are a plethora of restaurants to choose from including The Melting Pot, and Toby Keith's. No matter what age you are, there is something for you at Destiny USA.
Dinosaur Barbeque - A Taste Of Deliciousness
Stop by Syracuse's Dinosaur Bar-b-que, one of the cities gems located on Willow Street. In 2009 this biker hang out was named Good Morning America's best barbeque in the country. It was also featured on Man Vs. Food in 2010 where they featured the Pork-Sket. The restaurant is famous for its pulled pork, chili, and baked beans, and who can resist their delicious sauces? This place is usually hopping at lunch time, filled with bikers and businessmen. You'll feel right at home in this cozy environment, and don't worry about the writing on the walls. In fact, you can feel free to leave your own mark!
Gannon's Isle
Homemade Ice Cream
Gannon's Isle has the best homemade icecream on the planet. It's been awarded the Best Ice Cream in Syracuse award, but they definately deserve a national award. They currently have 200 rotating flavors and all of their ice cream is made at their Valley Drive location. They also cator a variety of events. In fact, I had a sundae bar at my wedding featuring Gannon's ice cream. You can choose from a huge variety of flavors, order an ice cream cake, create milkshakes using any flavor and much, much, more. After you've tried their ice cream, you'll probably want to grab a pint to go!
